Behavioral Consultation

All behavioral programs begin with an initial consultation. This helps to ensure that the right program is tailored to the needs of you and your dog. The consultation consists of a 30 minute phone call where I will gather more details regarding your dog’s behavioral history in preparation for an hour long, in-person meeting where I will observe your dog’s behavior, begin the initial steps in the behavioral modification, and design a detailed behavioral plan for your dog.

Growly to Great

This is an 8 week program designed for dogs who are overly reactive to environmental cues. The dog who barks and lunges when another dog is encountered on your walks; The dog who barks at people walking, skateboarding, or biking; The dog who pulls after passing cars, or cats while you are out walking.

You will learn several management tactics that will be utilized as your dog works through the program. Your dog will learn that other behaviors are far more rewarding and will begin to offer them instead of the barking and lunging. You will learn how to read your dog’s body language so your dog can have a voice in the conversation and will be empowered to say “I’m OK with that” or “I’d rather not right now” With you reading the moment, you and your dog will have the tools necessary to handle the situations that the world throws your way.

This program includes 8 one hour sessions, a professional grade treat bag and clicker, as well as written behavioral plans designed for your dog. I will also be available to you for consults for 8 weeks after the program.

  • Pay per session: $800 ($100 per session)

Husbandry at Home

Bathing, Nail Trimming, Muzzle Training, Preparing for veterinary visits, Eye Drops, Ear Drops, Grooming, Wound Care, and more.

This 4 week program will focus on your specific needs in the area of husbandry. You will learn how to shape behaviors and introduce your dog to the tools and procedures involved. You will also learn to read your dog’s body language, so you will be able to evaluate your dog’s comfort level and respond accordingly. This gives your dog a voice in the conversation and boosts confidence in these circumstances and every day life.

This program includes 4 one hour sessions and written behavioral plans designed for your dog. I will also be available to you for consults for 4 weeks after the program.

Stranger Danger

Does your dog have a hard time when you have house guests? Perhaps your dog barks from a distance or hides behind furniture or in another room. If this is something you are dealing with, this is the program for you.

This is a 4 week program designed to help your dog overcome fears and skepticism of new people while giving you the tools to safely and successfully build the positive associations that will change your dog’s emotional state around strangers.

This program includes 4 one hour sessions and written behavioral plans designed for your dog. I will also be available to you for consults for 4 weeks after the program.

Fido Lives With Fluffy

Welcoming a new dog or cat to your home? Or maybe your dog and cat got off to a poor start and you have been living around the situation for some time.

This 4 week program goes beyond managing the situation and begins to build positive associations for both dog and cat. We will cover safety and management along the way as we teach Fido acceptable behaviors around Fluffy. As the program progresses your cat will start to relax and worry less about Fido, and more about doing cat stuff.

This program includes 4 one hour sessions and written behavioral plans designed for your dog and cat. I will also be available to you for consults for 4 weeks after the program.
